The WH Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health is nested within John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
In this role:
- I serve as co-chair for the Power Shifting subcommittee of the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP); organizing and facilitating global dialogues and workshops on shifting power in global health, advocating for commitments from multiple stakeholders to ensure equitable engagements.
- I organised and presented power shifting dialogues at global events such as ICFP 2022, Thailand; Population Association of America Annual meeting (PAA2023),USA; Women Deliver conference 2023, Rwanda, Interdisciplinary Association for Population Health Science (IAPHS2023) webinar series 2023; African Population Conference 2024, Malawi; Nigerian Family Planning Conference (NFPC2024).
- I developed, co-authored and presented scientific abstracts in international conferences on the power shifting engagements conducted to disseminate findings and promote equitable partnerships and practices.

- I led the resource mobilisation of a $10,000 IAS2024 Youth hub seed grant and field implementation of a cost-effective Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (SHE) and HIV prevention project, aimed at enabling and empowering young mothers at risk of HIV in the Central River region of the Gambia to prevent and manage HIV, meet their SRHR needs and fully maximize their potentials.
- I developed facilitation guide, training manuals, data collection tools, questionnaire, and other fit-for-purpose technical resources for project implementation.
- I conducted capacity building training of 24 community health workers on youth-friendly SRHR and HIV service delivery.
- I conducted SRHR education sessions and co-creating culturally sensitive social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) strategy for community awareness with 100 young mothers
- I organized community dialogues and awareness campaigns involving over 600 community leaders, young mothers, and other stakeholders to discuss SRHR challenges, HIV stigma, and the importance of promoting comprehensive SRHR services for young mothers.

- Led the resource mobilization and implementation of a $9000 Edu-Pad Yala Project in Cross River, Nigeria, involving stakeholders management, team leadership and educating 1,100 participants on menstrual health equity promotion, women’s socio-economic empowerment, and research-based advocacy for policy and community health systems strengthening.
- Developed a fit-for-purpose resource mobilisation strategy and pitched the technical proposal for the project, winning the Community Action Award Grant.
- Developed a detailed community-centred approach for community awareness and education on menstrual health management for over 1100 beneficiaries.
